Job summary

Corning Inc. in the Dallas area seeks a Warehouse Lead to supervise shipping, receiving and stock operations, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to SLAs.

You will lead teams, perform cycle counts, manage inventory, and support engineering and production with reporting while using SAP, MS Office and related quality systems. The role requires at least 3 years in manufacturing with leadership, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a High School Diploma.

Qualifications

• Over 3 years’ experience in manufacturing with 6+ months in leadership, project lead or training.
• 1–3 years PC experience with SAP, MS Office and Quality Management Software.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Knowledge of production/warehousing concepts and procedures for the area.

Responsibilities

• Determine shipment method; weigh, package and stamp; prepare shipping forms.
• Record transactions in SAP, FedEx, UPS, and related systems.
• Order and maintain department inventory of tools and supplies.
• Provide general reporting to Engineering, Technology and Production testing.
• Operate forklift, pallet jacks or other equipment as required.
• Conduct cycle counts and other audits as needed.
• Coach employees to improve performance and provide on-the-job training.
• Lead continuous improvement with 5S and lean initiatives; ensure TL9000 quality compliance.
• Contribute to 5S goals by keeping production, shipping and warehouse areas clean.
