Job summary

The position involves printing labels, data entry at packing/ stretch-wrapping stations, operating a crane, forklift and clamp truck, and ensuring safe, clean work areas while coordinating with slitting and production staff.

Responsibilities

• Verify customer requirements by reviewing the Setup.
• Identify Exception codes and use proper packing supplies.
• Print labels at the Packaging Station and verify roll data for each finished roll.
• Troubleshoot basic conveying systems.
• Operate the packaging crane safely and under control.
• Enter data into the computer at the Packing Station and Stretch-Wrapping Station.
• Operate the Stretch-Wrapper in Automatic and Manual modes.
• Weigh finished pallets and apply labels verifying data.
• Maintain good housekeeping and a safe working environment.
• Interact with packers, production supervisor, lead technician, and slitting technicians as required.
• Operate forklift to stack material.
• Use clamp truck as needed.
• Assist in any function of the Slitting Department as requested by lead operator or supervisor.
