Job summary

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience maintaining and troubleshooting pharmaceutical packaging equipment.
• Experience performing setup, changeovers, adjustments, troubleshooting and repairs on packaging line equipment.
• Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, PLC, and pneumatic systems.
• Experience with packaging equipment such as bottle fillers, cappers, labelers, cartoners, case packers, conveyors, serialization equipment, or similar automated packaging systems.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings/schematics.

Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Packaging Mechanic at Somerset, NJ manufacturing site and are seeking candidates with hands‑on experience maintaining and troubleshooting pharmaceutical packaging equipment.

Key experience we are looking for includes:

• Performing setup, changeovers, adjustments, troubleshooting, and repairs on packaging line equipment
• Supporting high-speed packaging operations while maintaining validated operating parameters
• Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, PLC, and pneumatic systems
• Performing preventive maintenance and responding to equipment breakdowns with minimal impact to production
• Experience with packaging equipment such as bottle fillers, cappers, labelers, cartoners, case packers, conveyors, serialization equipment, or similar automated packaging systems
• Reading and working from electrical and mechanical drawings/schematics
• Working with industrial electrical systems ranging from 120V to 480V
• Experience in a GMP/cGMP-regulated manufacturing environment, ideally pharmaceutical
• Supporting equipment improvements, machine modifications, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Ability to train and support packaging operators on equipment operation and changeovers
