Job summary

Blount Fine Foods Corp. is seeking a Packaging Technician II for the third shift (start time 12:30am) to keep the Cup Packout line running smoothly.

You will troubleshoot equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and coordinate with Maintenance and Leads to minimize downtime. Responsibilities include repairing breakdowns, making proactive line adjustments, training others on adjustments, and ensuring consistent product quality while adhering to sanitation and safety guidelines in a fast-paced

• Ability to interpret a wide range of technical instructions and diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Repair of any breakdowns during normal production.
• Proactive line adjustments to prevent lost processing time.
• Continuous equipment preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Learn all aspects of processing line equipment and train others on adjustments.
• Identify product variation to set up machinery quickly.
• Proactive approach to reduce downtime between production runs.
• Maintain accountability for processing line downtime and related issues.
• Communicate effectively with Maintenance and Lead to resolve mechanical hindrances.

The pay range for this job is $20.00 to $20.50 per hour. This position is third shift, start time is 12:30am.

Summary

The Packaging Technician II is responsible for the continuous and "trouble free" running of all equipment incorporated within the Cup Packout processing department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Repair of any breakdowns during normal production.
• Proactive line adjustments, to prevent lost processing time.
• Continuous equipment Preventative Maintenance, to eliminate or minimize future processing "downtime".
• Ability to learn all aspects of processing line equipment, with the ability to teach others key primary adjustments.
• Ability to identify product variation to set up machinery in a timely manner.
• Proactive approach to mitigate processes lost time between production runs.
• Positional accountabilities.
• Understand implications of "down time" and inefficient processing.
• Understand how to react to such matters, to minimize downtime incurred.
• Develop a proactive approach to address potential downtime obstructions.
• Responsible for any processing line, equipment based, "Down Time".
• "Your equipment, your 'Down Time'."
• Effective and continuous communication with Maintenance and Lead to discuss any resolve any hindrances to processing line time.
• Other responsibilities w/ similar skill and work conditions as assigned.

Education And Experience

• One year certificate from college or technical school; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• communicate effectively both written and verbally in English as it pertains to individual position.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
