Summary: The Packaging Technician 1 & 2 responsibilities include detecting and identifying defect trends during the inspection of manufactured products, accurately inspecting and selecting product samples for quality and stability testing, performing labeling activities, and verifying product and diluent vial labeling for accuracy. Additional duties involve setting up, operating, troubleshooting packaging equipment, manual packaging, inspecting for defects, conducting counts, and operating material handling equipment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Effective teamwork, passing vision testing for near vision and colorblindness, ability to identify product defects according to PDA Lexicon and SOPs, and maintaining focus during tasks.
Requirements: High School Diploma, Packaging Operator/Inspector experience preferred, ability to troubleshoot and operate packaging equipment, review and enter data into systems like LIMS and SAP, and maintain knowledge of product specifications.
Work Environment: Manufacturing setting with rotating shifts, exposure to biological fluids, chemicals, machinery, noise, cold, and need for personal protective equipment. Physical activities include standing, walking, lifting, bending, and reaching, with frequent hand movements and communication skills.
