Job summary

Potters Industries LLC in Apex, NC is seeking a Packaging Operator to support the packaging line and ensure timely preparation of products for delivery. Responsibilities include machine setup, monitoring, labeling, and stacking finished goods.

The role requires 1+ year in an industrial setting, familiarity with filling equipment and forklift operation, plus adherence to safety, quality and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ year experience in industrial/manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, prepare and monitor machines and equipment per production requirements.
• Assist packaging team in preparing product for final delivery, including filling, labeling and stacking.
• Operate filling equipment for 50-lb bags, 2000-lb sacks, 2000-lb boxes or 5-gallon pails.
• Operate a sit-down forklift to move materials to packaging and warehouse areas.
• Receive materials and inspect quality before acceptance.
• Support ISO 9001 Quality Program and environmental permits compliance.
• Maintain accurate Quality Control logs and communicate issues to team/supervisors.
• Follow safe work practices and identify hazards; assist with work procedures.
• Assist Team Leader with routine maintenance tasks.
