Job summary

Vibrant Ingredients is seeking a Packaging Operator to operate and monitor packaging equipment, ensuring safe and efficient packaging of products in our Indianapolis area facility.

In this on-site role, you will perform quality checks, assist with setup and changeovers, maintain clean work areas, and collaborate with the production team to meet our high standards of quality and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior Packaging Operator or similar experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.
• Ability to follow instructions and work safely and efficiently.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and equipment operation.
• Good communication and team collaboration skills.
• Ability to work the assigned shift schedule, including overtime hours and weekends as needed.
• May involve exposure to allergens such as Soy, Wheat, Fish, Shellfish, Milk, Egg, Tree Nuts and Sesame.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor packaging equipment including filling machines, labeling machines, and sealing machines.
• Perform quality checks on packaged products to ensure they meet the company's standards.
• Take corrective actions if any issues or deviations are identified during the packaging process.
• Collaborate with the production team to ensure a smooth and efficient packaging process.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety and hygiene regulations.
• Complete production and packaging logs accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assist with equipment setup, changeovers, and troubleshooting as needed.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
