Job summary

Viatris is seeking a Packaging Technician B in San Antonio, TX to support packaging lines and equipment during production runs. You will set up changeovers, maintain equipment and change parts, and help ensure quality and efficiency on the line.

Minimum 4–6 years in maintenance with strong mechanical and electrical understanding is required. Lean manufacturing knowledge and Kaizen experience are preferred, along with adherence to MSOP and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 4–6 years of related maintenance experience.
• Good mechanical and basic electrical understanding.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing/operational excellence is preferred.
• Experience leading Kaizen events, VSM and problem-solving initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Set up/changeover packaging equipment/line centers as required.
• Maintain equipment during production runs to achieve desired production rates and quality standards.
• Maintain change parts in good mechanical condition.
• Identify and order/repair replacement parts for packaging equipment.
• Disassemble/clean/sanitize product filling equipment.
• Maintain records/logbooks as required by MSOP and management.
• Perform line tests to ensure compatibility of equipment/products/packages and support changes.
• Provide basic electrical/electronic troubleshooting and related repairs.
• Adhere to safety, environmental and quality guidelines and SOPs.
