Job summary

Viatris in Vermont is seeking a Production Operator to visually inspect product, assist with the setup and operation of production equipment, and maintain a clean, organized work area compliant with quality standards.

Required are a HS diploma and at least one year of experience; strong mechanical, writing, and computer skills (Word/Excel/Lotus Notes) are essential. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work extended hours as needed.

Qualifications

  • HS diploma required.
  • Minimum one year of manufacturing experience.
  • Strong mechanical, communication, time management, organizational and writing skills; basic computer skills (Word/Excel/Lotus Notes).

Responsibilities

  • Visually inspect product during operation and observe equipment for proper operation.
  • Assist with setup and running of production equipment.
  • Prepare and clean manufacturing rooms and equipment for inspection.
  • Ensure products are labeled and stored correctly.
  • Document runs via Batch Production Records, In-Process Sheets, Log Books, and Time Sheets.
  • Assist in training new personnel as directed by the supervisor or manager.
  • Perform calibration on scales, line meters, coating ovens, micrometers, etc.
  • Coordinate the work of other Operators and act as a back up to Senior Operator as directed by the supervisor or manager.

However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.* Must possess good mechanical, communication, time management, organizational, interpersonal, and writing skills, and computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel and Lotus Notes. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to stoop, climb ladders, or stairs, stand or sit for extended periods of time. Ability to wear a respirator. Ability to hear an alarm. Ability to identify small defects. Ability to distinguish between colors.Exact compensation may vary based on items such as skills, experience and location.
