Job summary

Neovia Logistics seeks a Packaging Technician in Plainfield, IN to work with the Whirlpool Senior Packaging Engineer to evaluate packaging for improvements in design and quality, ensuring the safe transit of finished goods to the end user.

The role involves updating BOM, validating BOH, and identifying stock-movement opportunities, with duties including stock pulls and analysis using Excel and SAP/AS400 tools. First shift, M-F, with pay of $23.00+ DOE.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years' relevant experience
• Basic math skills
• Ability to interpret documents
• Proficiency with Google Suite and Excel

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Senior Packaging Engineer to optimize current packaging, assess weak points, and implement strategies to mitigate damage
• Update BOM (Bill of Materials)
• Validate packaging BOH (Balance on Hand) as needed
• Identify opportunities to move stock from POD to raw inventory
• Pull stock and complete analysis including photographing material contents, drop testing, validating kit contents to BOM
• Ensure the safe operation and basic maintenance of packaging equipment in the facility
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
