Job summary

Lanxess Corporation in Memphis is seeking a Packaging Operator to perform packaging operations aligned with customer orders while ensuring safe operation of packaging machinery. You will stock materials, conduct minor equipment repairs, and maintain housekeeping in a high-hazard environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1–3 years of experience, and willingness to work rotating 12-hour shifts with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of work experience.
• Willingness to work a rotating 12-hour shift schedule.
• Willingness to work overtime including holidays and weekends.
• Must wear PPE (steel toes, hardhat, protective eyewear, face shields, arc protective clothing, SCBA).
• Able to work in a high-hazard process.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and climb stairs, ladders, and be able to stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate packaging machinery per customer orders.
• Perform minor repairs and ensure equipment safety.
• Handle hazardous and non-hazardous materials per plant requirements.
• Stock raw materials (pallets, slip sheets, tape, labels, boxes, ties).
• Maintain general housekeeping and support CI initiatives.
• Aim to meet production targets and quality standards.
