Job summary

Lion Copolymer Geismar, LLC is seeking a full-time Technician in Geismar, LA to operate and monitor packaging and palletization robotics systems. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years' experience in an industrial, manufacturing or plant environment preferred.
• Ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift and to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to communicate effectively across shifts.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot automation-related issues.
• Hands-on with strong attention to detail, safety and product quality.
• Successful completion of pre-employment physical and drug screen, fitness test, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Monitor product quality, packaging integrity, and labeling accuracy.
• Ensure robotic palletizing systems operate safely and correctly without damaging product or packaging.
• Verify pallet routing, discharge lane assignments, and stacking patterns.
• Maintain packaging materials (pallets, labels, boxes, trays, sleeves, slip sheets).
• Monitor HMIs, sensors, barcode readers, and automated equipment for alarms/faults/jams.
• Troubleshoot and adjust photo eyes, sensors, and other automation components.
• Support line swaps, packaging changeovers, and product transitions.
• Monitor bale verification, sequence verification, sampling stations, and compressor systems.
• Maintain shift activity logs and provide effective shift handovers.
• Assist with scale checks, equipment maintenance, and packaging material management.
• Perform light maintenance and interpret equipment errors/failures.
• Review P&IDs and SOPs; input quality alert information.
