Job summary

Leading Technology Composites, Inc. in Wichita, KS is seeking a Packaging Technician – Material Handler for 1st shift (Mon-Thu 6:00 AM–3:30 PM and Fri 6:00 AM–10:00 AM).

The role focuses on safe movement and storage of inventory and supporting distribution by loading outbound shipments. You will operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment, maintain a clean workspace, perform pre-use inspections, and follow hazardous materials procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience operating material handling equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and multi-shipment handling.
• Excellent communication with internal teams and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Move product internally and load outbound shipments using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.

Packaging Technician – Material Handler

Job Description

Responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, organization of inventory and supports distribution processes by loading outbound shipments for timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Move product both internally as well as load product into outbound vehicles using forklifts (stand up and sit down), pallet jacks, or other equipment
• Operate and maintain material-handling equipment safely, including performing pre-use inspections
• Ensure the work area is clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
• Follow procedures for handling hazardous materials when applicable, including obtaining necessary certifications.
• Lift various heavy items safely – using team lift when necessary
• Use assorted measuring and weight recording devices
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills And Qualifications

• Experience: Proven experience of operating material handling equipment: forklifts (stand up and sit down), pallet jackets or other equipment for transporting products
• Organizational skills: Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to handle multiple shipments simultaneously
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills for coordinating with internal teams and external partners
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English
• Ability to work safely in a production environment
• U.S. citizenship and valid driver’s license required
