Job summary

Nueske’s Applewood Smoked Meats in Wittenberg, WI is hiring a Packaging Team Member to operate packaging machinery and ensure products meet quality standards. This role supports labeling, boxing, and accurate weighing and sorting of meat products in a fast-paced production setting.

You'll work on a 1st shift (6:30 am - 4 pm) and join a culture focused on communication, care, engagement, and quality. Prior related experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Prior related experience and/or training is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY: A Packaging Team Member works in a meat manufacturing setting where their main job is to operate the machinery that packages the finished meat product. They are given the responsibility to ensure that our meat products measure up to our quality standards and are packaged, labeled, and boxed correctly.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.

• Trim and package meat products.
• Weigh and sort various meats.
• Label and box product accurately.
• Ability to set up and operate equipment efficiently and with minimal defects.
• Monitor machine operation with ability to trouble shoot and make necessary adjustments.
• Have knowledge of and follow all product specifications.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
