Job summary

Klein Tools is seeking a Packaging Supervisor to ensure continuous production and delivery by guiding and coordinating the packaging team. You will assign duties, train staff, and enforce policies to maintain safe, efficient operations.

Responsibilities include daily scheduling, workflow optimization, and data entry for performance reporting. Leadership is essential to drive safety, productivity, and compliance within the packaging department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Operations and Logistics or related field with one year of relevant work experience required.
• Experience in distribution or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience AS400 and Shop Floor System, Boss and Warehouse Management System preferred.
• Must be able to operate Class II Order Picker and Class II Stand-Up Forklift, Pallet Jack, Label Printing System, RF Sealer, and Staple Gun.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with people, projects and issues.
• Ability to handle multiple functions.
• Willingness to become a certified First Responder and respond to emergencies (including after hours) is required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule daily department work based on production plan and inventory needs.
• Build job folders and create/print labels for packaging staff.
• Maintain work instructions and determine workflow to meet packaging standards.
• Provide on-the-job training and mentor team members for safety and productivity.
• Enter production data and generate daily performance reports for the Packaging Manager.
• Recommend hires, promotions, transfers, and performance evaluations; manage disruptions.
