L’Oréal Florence KY Manufacturing seeks a Packaging Supervisor to lead 8-12 operators and mechanics across 5-6 lines, focusing on safety, quality, OEE, and budget adherence with ongoing coaching.

You will drive TPM activities, oversee inventory, align line priorities, and develop staff through hands-on training and technical coaching for production excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in manufacturing management role.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, proven organizational skills.
• Strong technical skills, mechanical aptitude, and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Support safety culture and safety mission in the plant.

• Operate lines and perform washouts; provide operational support to the cell lines.
• Drive improvements to Safety, Quality, Productivity with short- and long-term vision.
• Assist TPM activities and labor system reporting.
• Coordinate UP activity (line assignments, priorities, scheduling, trainings).
• Lead staff development and provide coaching and performance reviews for operators and mechanics.
• Lead Line Improvement Teams and drive OEE tracking vs. goal.
• Ensure safety, quality, OEE, and budget compliance; audit GMP rules.

What You Will Learn:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• 1. Fully Supports an interdependent safety culture and works proactively to accomplish the safety mission in the plant of zero accidents.
• 2. Supports and embraces the Quality and Environmental missions of the Plant.
• 3. Capable of performing operational roles in the cell such as running lines and performing washouts. Provides operational support to the cell lines when needed.
• 4. Continually assesses the performance indicators of the cell and develops actions to improve L’Oréal Industrial Objectives: Safety, Quality Productivity, with a short-term and long-term vision.
• 5. Assists in facilitating TPM activities.
• 6. Labor System Reporting.
• 7. Inventory Management.
• 8. Coordinates UP activity (operator line assignments, communication of line priorities, scheduling/requesting temporary employees, meetings and trainings)
• 9. Support staff development to ensure that all cell personnel can conduct production operation efficiently.
• 10. Responsible for 8-12 Employees including Operators, Mechanics & Temporaries and 5-6 Lines on a Shift.
• 11. Responsible for all training, coaching and performance reviews for operators and mechanics.
• 12. Responsible for Technical Coaching & technical training of team.
• 13. Leads & Drives Line Improvement Teams, and holds daily & weekly Intervention for OEE Tracking vs. Goal
• 14. Is accountable for Safety, Quality, OEE, and Budget. Regularly audits Safety, Quality, GMP rules.
• 15. Ensure proper orientation/training of temporary employees.
• 16. Fully embraces a can-do attitude and the drive to lead others to excellence.
• 17. Flexible work schedule.

What We Are Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree (Engineering degree) preferred or equivalent experience.

Experience: 3+ years in a manufacturing management role, like industry.

Skills: Good written and oral communication skills, proven organizational

skills, strong technical skills, and mechanical aptitude, excellent

computer skills, coaching mentality, and strong problem-solving skills.
