Responsibilities

  • Support a safety culture and drive the plant's safety mission to zero accidents.
  • Operate and provide support on production lines and washouts as needed.
  • Lead actions to improve OEE and drive TPM activities.
  • Coordinate operator line assignments, line priorities, and scheduling with UP activities.
  • Provide coaching and development for operators and maintenance staff.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, quality, GMP rules, and budget constraints.
  • Monitor and report on performance indicators and drive continuous improvement.
  • Mentor staff and lead line improvement teams to achieve goals.

Reports To: UP2 Cell Manager

What You Will Learn:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Fully Supports an interdependent safety culture and works proactively to accomplish the safety mission in the plant of zero accidents.

2. Supports and embraces the Quality and Environmental missions of the Plant.

3. Capable of performing operational roles in the cell such as running lines and performing washouts. Provides operational support to the cell lines when needed.

4. Continually assesses the performance indicators of the cell and develops actions to improve L'Oreal Industrial Objectives: Safety, Quality Productivity, with a short-term and long-term vision.

5. Assists in facilitating TPM activities.

6. Labor System Reporting.

7. Inventory Management.

8. Coordinates UP activity (operator line assignments, communication of line priorities, scheduling/requesting temporary employees, meetings and trainings)

9. Support staff development to ensure that all cell personnel can conduct production operation efficiently.

10. Responsible for 8-12 Employees including Operators, Mechanics & Temporaries and 5-6 Lines on a Shift.

11. Responsible for all training, coaching and performance reviews for operators and mechanics.

12. Responsible for Technical Coaching & technical training of team.

13. Leads & Drives Line Improvement Teams, and holds daily & weekly Intervention for OEE Tracking vs. Goal

14. Is accountable for Safety, Quality, OEE, and Budget. Regularly audits Safety, Quality, GMP rules.

15. Ensure proper orientation/training of temporary employees.

16. Fully embraces a can-do attitude and the drive to lead others to excellence.

17. Flexible work schedule.

What We Are Looking For:
Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree (Engineering degree) preferred or equivalent experience.

Experience: 3+ years in a manufacturing management role, like industry.

Skills: Good written and oral communication skills, proven organizational skills, strong technical skills, and mechanical aptitude, excellent computer skills, coaching mentality, and strong problem-solving skills.
