Job summary

Piedmont Candy Company is seeking an experienced Packaging Supervisor to lead the packaging department on 1st shift in Lexington, NC. You will supervise Packaging Techs and Floaters across lines, ensuring on-time product movement, safety, and quality according to GMP and HACCP standards.

You will recruit, train, and coach staff, set daily directions, and work with cross-functional teams including Maintenance and Quality to hit production goals. Bilingual English/Spanish is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of leadership experience in a packaging department, preferably in food manufacturing.
• Hands-on knowledge of packaging equipment such as wrapping machines, labelers, heat sealers, conveyors and scales.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred; GMP/HACCP knowledge required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate Packaging Techs, Floaters, and team members across all packaging lines.
• Provide clear daily direction, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Hire, onboard, and cross-train packaging staff to build a flexible team and reduce downtime.
• Track attendance and productivity, address performance issues per HR policy.
• Foster a culture prioritizing safety and quality.
