Job summary

SIG group is seeking a Packaging Associate to move product from the line to the warehouse, coordinating with ABM operators to keep the machine stocked and running, and performing related duties. The role requires reading specs, handling packaging, and maintaining 5S and safety standards.

Ideal candidates will support continuous improvement efforts and participate in Lean initiatives, with opportunities to train others and advance in a global packaging company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work all shifts and perform overtime.
• Ability to read ruler and interpret documents such as safety rules, policies and procedure manuals.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units or measures, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Responsibilities

• Move product from the machine to warehouse and prep for shipment.
• Inspect product for visual defects and complete required paperwork.
• Pack all good products using pack equipment and ensure correct aseptic procedures.
• Read product specifications to pack bags correctly.
• Maintain 5S/Lean cleanliness and safety on the production floor.
• Train employees on Pay for Skills Level 1 tasks.
