Job summary

Ridge Corporation in Frazeysburg, OH, seeks a Packaging Specialist to support packaging, machine operation, and material handling on a production line. You will work with shipping, production, safety, quality, and engineering teams to meet performance goals.

The role requires comfort in a fast-paced industrial setting, basic English, and a willingness to follow detailed work instructions. Strong safety awareness and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Two months of job-related experience including machine operation/maintenance.
• Ability to identify ultrasonic, thermal, electrical and pneumatic concerns.
• Knowledge of safety policies including Lock Out Tag Out.
• Ability to read English and perform basic math, including reading a tape measure.

Responsibilities

• Package finished goods and move parts between pallets.
• Verify counts of materials match labels.
• Operate powered industrial equipment with proper certification.
• Conduct cycle counts and physical inventories.
• Build wood pallets for outbound shipments.
• Follow work instructions and manage multiple tasks.
• Assist with data entry and label management in ERP.
• Meet production standards and goals.
• Maintain safe, neat work environment per 5S.

Job Title: Packaging Specialist

Location: Frazeysburg, OH

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 6am-4:30pm (Occasional OT on Fridays 6am-2:30pm)

• (2) 15 min paid breaks and (1) 30 min unpaid lunch

Pay Rate: Starting up to $18.25/hr

Job Summary:

Ideal candidate should have manufacturing and/or general warehouse experience with packaging, machine operation, material handling or logistics activities. Candidate must be comfortable working in production as part of a team with specific production goals. Previous work experience in a fast-paced industrial environment is required. The person selected will be working directly with other members of the shipping team, production, safety, quality and engineering.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Package finished goods and move parts between pallets as required
• Verify counts of materials match labeled quantities
• Operate powered industrial equipment as needed (tow motor & overhead crane) with appropriate certification
• Familiar and able to conduct cycle counts and physical inventories
• Build wood pallets for outbound shipments per specifications
• Ability to learn and follow work instructions
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and to independently troubleshoot
• Assist with data entry and label management through ERP system such as printing and re-packing labels
• Meet / Exceed production standards and goals
• Excellent time management and communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and with a team
• Follows Company safety and department policies and procedures
• Maintains neat and clean work environment following 5S methodology
• Makes recommendations to continually improve processes
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Two months job related experience required, including machine operator / maintenance
• Ability to identify ultrasonic, thermal, electrical and pneumatic concerns
• Ability to follow work instructions from start up to shut down
• Knowledge of company safety, OSHA and department policies and procedures including Lock Out Tag Out
• Good applied interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Ability to read and comprehend basic English and perform basic math functions including reading a tape measure
• Ability to be self-motivated

Workplace Experience:

Previousmanufacturing experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to Stand for Long Periods of Time

Ability to operate equipment safely
