Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to Sourcing and assist with basic tasks on new packaging products and specs.
  • Create RFQs, enter product data into Salesforce or SpecRight, maintain project notes.
  • Gather pricing from vendors, prepare simple cost comparisons and quotes.
  • Track timelines, follow up on items, flag delays.
  • Process approved orders, follow up with vendors, escalate concerns.
  • Prepare documents like new item forms, spec sheets, price lists, warehouse notifications.
  • Support research on packaging products, trends, and new vendors.
  • Organize vendor library with contacts, capabilities, samples, product details.
  • Prepare weekly reports, meeting notes, updates for Sourcing and Sales.
  • Coordinate vendor visits and sample requests.

Gadge USA was established in 1993. Our company is a national packaging supply and supply-chain solutions company with an expansive distribution network. We manage packaging portfolios across multiple categories, combined with a scalable service model, which delivers packaging solutions and continuous improvement to our customers.

We are currently recruiting an Sourcing Specialist to support our Sourcing team. This entry‑level role reports to the Associate Director, Sourcing and provides administrative and project support to help manage new packaging product requests and updates. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, enjoys working with data and timelines, and can communicate clearly with both internal teams and external partners.

What You Will Do:
  • Provide administrative support to the Sourcing Department and assist Sourcing Managers with basic tasks related to new packaging products and specification updates.
  • Create and enter Requests for Quotes (RFQs), input product information into Salesforce or SpecRight, and help maintain accurate project notes throughout each project.
  • Assist with gathering pricing information from multiple vendors and preparing simple cost comparisons, customer/vendor quotes, basic specification documents, and other internal forms.
  • Help track project timelines, follow up on outstanding items, and flag any delays or issues to the team.
  • Process approved orders, complete follow-ups with vendors, and escalated any concerns as instructed.
  • Prepare basic documents such as new item forms, spec sheets, customer price lists, and warehouse notifications, ensuring all systems are updated correctly.
  • Support research efforts by gathering information on packaging products, market trends, and potential new vendors.
  • Help organize and maintain a vendor library including contact information, capabilities, samples, and product details.
  • Assist in preparing weekly reports, meeting notes, and updates for the Sourcing and Sales teams.
  • Coordinate vendor visits, sample requests, and presentations for the Sales and Sourcing Departments.
Must‑Haves:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or 1 year of administrative, project support, purchasing, or related experience.
  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
  • Comfortable working with data and basic spreadsheets; proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work well with cross‑functional teams.
  • Interest in learning sourcing, procurement, or product development processes.
Nice‑to‑Haves:
  • Experience with purchase orders, inventory documents, or bills of lading.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM/project management tools.
  • Basic knowledge of packaging, manufacturing, or product development (a plus, not required).
  • Interest in vendor communication or price comparison/negotiation.
  • Exposure to international sourcing or packaging is a plus.

Additional Information:

The salary range for this role is $60,000 - $70,000 commensurate with the candidate’s experience.
