Job summary

Graham Packaging is seeking a Proposal Engineer to drive growth by developing compelling technical solutions and executing all phases of the quoting process. The role will be based at the Graham Technical Center in York, Pennsylvania.

Key duties include analyzing RFQs for rigid plastic packaging, assembling technical solutions, gathering necessary data, and communicating cost estimates. Strong MS Office and AutoCAD skills are required; a BS in Engineering is preferred.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Systems).
• Experience in product development, operations, or mold and tooling development preferred.
• Preferred background designing industrial equipment, as a design or equipment engineer with a field of technical specialty.
• Packaging/design engineering with experience in closures and/or bottles

Responsibilities

• Analyze RFQs for rigid plastic packaging and develop technical solutions.
• Gather operations, supply chain, and engineering info to complete proposals.
• Answer technical inquiries from sales and customers for bid clarifications.
• Estimate, track, and communicate project costs; pursue cost savings.
• Provide status and progress reports to the commercial organization.
• Facilitate handoff of the technical solution from engineering to pricing.
