Qualifications

• Minimum 5-7 years of engineering experience designing plastic extrusion equipment.
• Demonstrated applicable skills in other engineering degrees may be acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Design components for simple to moderately complex extrusion systems.
• Perform design analysis on extrusion systems to ensure performance.
• Lead troubleshooting and failure analysis efforts.

Skills

Mechanical design using solid modeling software

Understanding of heat transfer principles

Skilled in FEA and CFD

Writing and presentation skills

Systematic problem solving methods

Education

BS degree in Mechanical Engineering
