Job summary

Strides Pharma Inc in Chestnut Ridge, NY is seeking a Packaging Mechanic for 2nd shift to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on packaging equipment, aiming to improve reliability, throughput and quality. You will assist in setup, learn cGMP processes, and work with senior technicians to troubleshoot issues.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent with related certification or 2–4 years of related experience, and you must be able to stand for long shifts and lift up

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent with related certification.
• HS diploma or equivalent with 2–4 years' related experience.
• Ability to learn cGMP regulations and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on packaging equipment per SOP.
• Troubleshoot filling, printing, labeling, verification, case packing, capping, sealing, palletizing equipment.
• Assist in set‑ups, cleaning, re‑assembly and start‑up of machines.
• Learn cGMP equipment maintenance with senior technicians.
• Follow SOPs including lock‑out/tag‑out and PPE requirements.
• Attend Production and Maintenance meetings as required.
