Responsibilities

• Lead packaging projects and trials at factory level focusing on line performance, cost efficiency, timeliness and product quality.
• Organize and document factory trials including machinability, shelf-life, storage handling, laboratory and transport tests for validation of new packaging and changes in specifications.
• Conduct value analysis; identify cost improvements and source reduction opportunities; participate in DMAIC exercises.
• Implement packaging related quality and compliance directives and drive quality improvements; assist QA with monitoring plans and supplier audits.
• Manage the GLOBE database of packaging materials.
• Support supplier development and packaging head office in selection, assessment and development of new suppliers/converters; raise material complaints and resolve them with suppliers.
• Ensure development of competencies of packaging assistants and disseminate best practices on the shop floor.
• Accountable for efficiency in packaging lines and materials usage, aligned with NCE Zero waste principles.
• Analyze consumer packaging complaints and implement corrective actions.
