Job summary

HRforGrowth is assisting a client in Sterling, VA to hire a Packaging Project Manager / Package Designer. The role oversees the complete packaging development lifecycle, coordinating with Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, QA, Supply Chain, and Regulatory Affairs to ensure successful project execution and production readiness.

The position focuses on packaging project management and operational execution rather than graphic design or marketing, with a strong emphasis on compliance and cost

Qualifications

• Experience in packaging development, operations, or project management.
• Strong project coordination and organizational skills.
• Experience working with suppliers, manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage packaging projects from development through production implementation.
• Serve as primary point of contact for packaging initiatives.
• Coordinate activities between internal teams and external suppliers.
• Manage project schedules, timelines, priorities, milestones and deliverables.
• Provide regular project status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
• Support packaging testing, validation, compliance, and production execution.
• Assist with cost management, supplier coordination, and process improvement.
• Identify project risks and support timely resolution.
• Ensure packaging projects meet quality, regulatory, cost, and production requirements.
