Job summary

Rastelli Foods Group, Inc. in Swedesboro, New Jersey, is seeking a motivated Procurement Buyer for Packaging to ensure supply of packaging materials, control costs and maintain food safety compliance.

You will collaborate with QA, Operations, Marketing and R&D on new launches and packaging redesigns. The ideal candidate has procurement and negotiation expertise, packaging materials knowledge, and proficiency with Excel and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Procurement and negotiation expertise.
• Packaging material knowledge (film, corrugated, labels, trays).
• Supply chain and inventory management.
• Food safety and regulatory knowledge and collaboration with QA teams.
• Excel and ERP proficiency.
• Strong analytical and cross-functional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Packaging material procurement: identify, qualify, develop suppliers; negotiate pricing, contracts, terms; manage performance.
• Cost control and savings: analyze costs, lead bidding and RFPs, drive cost reductions.
• Inventory and production support: maintain packaging inventory, align with production planning, manage lead times.
• Food safety & regulatory compliance: ensure materials meet FDA/USDA/food-grade standards and support audits.
