Job summary

Amcor in Sarasota, FL is seeking an operator to maintain and run the material system, extruders, rollstand, thermoformer, grinder, and Air-Vey system. You will actively ensure safety, uphold production rates, and minimize scrap while supporting QA testing and daily checks.

You will operate equipment across the line, assist with line changeovers, and coordinate with support teams to diagnose and fix issues, all while maintaining an orderly work area.

Qualifications

• Safety-conscious and able to follow procedures.
• Attention to detail to maintain quality and reduce scrap.
• Ability to adjust process parameters to address quality concerns.
• Ability to operate multiple manufacturing equipment.
• Willingness to work with maintenance to diagnose and fix equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate material system, extruders, rollstand, thermoformer, grinder, and Air-Vey system.
• Ensure personal safety and the safety of fellow employees.
• Ensure proper production rates and part quality with minimal scrap.
• Pull samples for QA testing as requested.
• Operate a forklift to load and move material.
• Complete line change over and daily checklists.
• Monitor material scanning, loading, and labeling.
• Report to management and follow WebEFF paperwork.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
