Job summary
Oliver Inc. is seeking a detailed Prepress Technician to prepare customer artwork for high-quality print production in a fast-paced packaging environment.
You'll perform preflight checks, create working files for plate-making, RIP files for proofs, and coordinate with designers and vendors to ensure color accuracy and on-time delivery. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of prepress experience in packaging or label production, a degree in graphic design or packaging tech, strong
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of Prepress experience in packaging/label printing.
- Degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Packaging Technology, or related field preferred.
- Strong understanding of print production and file preparation.
- Experience with color management and RIP software.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and validate customer artwork for print production.
- Perform preflight inspections and resolve file issues before production.
- Create working and imposition files for plate making.
- RIP files for proofs and final production output.
- Produce digital proofs and coordinate with designers and vendors.
- Manage color consistency using color profiles and calibration tools.
- Collaborate with production teams to resolve issues and meet schedules.
