Job summary

Oliver Inc. is hiring a Packaging Designer to lead folding carton packaging design, including brainstorming, sketches, and prototypes while working with clients to understand and address their structural needs.

You will create CAD designs with Artios, maintain files, and operate the sample cutting table, coordinating with production to ensure on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Complete understanding of packaging techniques and structural packaging design.
• 3–5+ years of job-related experience.
• 1+ years of experience with Artios CAD, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word is REQUIRED.
• Familiarity with Esko Cape Pack and WebCenter is a plus.
• Adobe applications and Salesforce experience desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Follow best practices for structural creation to meet customer needs.
• Lead the design process for folding carton packaging, including brainstorming, sketching, and prototypes.
• Work with clients to understand packaging structural needs.
• Create and manage CAD designs using Artios; maintain project files.
• Operate and maintain the sample cutting table and coordinate with production.
• Liaise between customer and production to ensure accurate execution.

Provide guidance regarding most cost-effective designs.Create design using CAD and Artios.Maintaining project files and CAD files. Operating and maintaining the sample cutting table.Manage multiple projects at one time while meeting deadlines for each.Convert sketches and ideas into 2D/3D display models with cutting tables and knife tools.Liaison between customer and production to ensure project is being executed to customer's expectations.About You:You're a fit for the role of Packaging Designer if your background includes:A complete understanding of packaging techniques/methods and structural packaging design.A high school diploma or equivalent.3 to 5 + years of job-related experience.Experience operating a sample cutting table.1+ years of experience with Artios CAD, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word is REQUIRED. Familiarity with other Esko software like Cape Pack and WebCenter is a plus. Being well versed with Adobe applications and Salesforce is desired but not required.Team Player with ability to multi-task with deadlines while still meeting standards.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
