Job summary

Accelera is seeking a Production Manager to lead operations at its new Spartanburg, SC facility. You will supervise Production Team Leads and the Maintenance Team, drive safety, quality, and efficiency, and oversee future capital projects with external contractors.

You will manage 50+ hourly staff across shifts, ensure KPIs are met, and partner with Quality to uphold food safety and customer specifications, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years in Production Manager or Supervisor role.
• Experience supervising 50+ hourly staff across multiple shifts.
• Total manufacturing experience of 8+ years.
• Background in paper converting or packaging manufacturing.
• Experience with ISO 9001 and/or 14001 standards.
• GMP FDA-regulated industry experience preferred.
• Knowledge of SQF, BRC, AIB, HACCP or food safety protocols.
• Strong safety-first leadership and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise Production Team Leads and the Maintenance Team Leader/Planner.
• Collaborate with Plant Manager to optimize resources and preventative maintenance efforts.
• Create and implement production standards to maximize efficiency.
• Analyze production metrics to drive manufacturing excellence and improvements.
• Ensure outgoing products meet customer specifications and food safety requirements.
• Manage labor planning to ensure production schedules are met.
• Oversee budgets for machinery installations and CAPEX expenditures.
• Coordinate maintenance functions including CMMS scheduling and PM programs.
• Champion ISO 9001:2015 and GMP compliance and safety initiatives.
