Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Production Manager to lead day-to-day plant operations in Alaska, directing production through Supervisors and ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. You will manage labor, materials, and cost controls while coordinating with engineering and other departments to optimize outcomes.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and strong organizational skills, with responsibilities including budgeting, training, and continuous improvement initiatives to support Amcor’s manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Ability to read, write, and speak to all levels of employees.
• Must be able to compose and write policies, programs, procedures, letters and reports used within the Company and send to customers.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Ability to respond in emergency situations and follow PEOT procedures.
• Ability to train and develop production personnel.

Responsibilities

• Directs all production activities through Production Supervisors and coordinates interdepartmental activities.
• Manages within the plant expense budget and ensures cost control and cost improvement projects.
• Monitors safety, quality and efficiency throughout the department.
• Prepares Production department budgets and monitors labor variances.
• Conducts daily production meetings and communicates with all departments.
• Collaborates with Engineering on mold revisions, improvement projects, and CAPEX.
• Administers and enforces the Company’s safety program.
• Trains and develops production personnel.
