Job summary

Mars is seeking qualified Operators in Illinois to support efficient production of quality products at our facility. You will operate/change over machinery, train teammates, and uphold 5S, HACCP and TPM practices.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (associates preferred) and experience in food manufacturing with automated processes. Strong math, problem solving and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associates preferred in engineering/manufacturing.
• 2+ years in a food manufacturing environment with automated processes; PLC/HMI experience preferred.
• Strong math, communications, computer and problem-solving skills; TPM experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with team leader and peers.
• Follow escalation protocol.
• Fill out HACCP and military sheets correctly.
• Encourage and support a safe working environment.
• Keep manufacturing area clean and organized per 5S standards.
• Perform cleanouts and changeovers per work instructions and checklists.
• Actively participate in TPM teams.
