Job summary

Mars UK Illinois seeks a skilled Equipment Operator to support efficient production of quality products. You will operate all assigned equipment, ensure compliance with quality, safety and performance standards, and participate in continuous improvement within an area team.

Responsibilities include performing changeovers, deep cleanings, maintaining supplies, and completing all HACCP and paperwork. TPM involvement and 5S standards are emphasized daily.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Grade 12 or High School diploma, or equivalent.
• Preferred: Associates degree in engineering or manufacturing related discipline.
• Two (2) or more years of experience in a food related manufacturing environment with automated processes, including PLC/HMI.
• Experience in a lean manufacturing environment or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate all equipment in the assigned work area while ensuring quality, safety and performance standards.
• Communicate effectively with team leader and peers.
• Follow proper escalation protocol and HACCP/military documentation.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized manufacturing area (5S).
• Perform cleanouts and changeovers according to standards; participate in TPM teams.
