Job summary

Mars Incorporated in Illinois is seeking a dedicated Operator to run equipment in the assigned area, ensuring quality, safety and efficiency. The role emphasizes changeovers, cleaning, paperwork and adherence to Mars Five Principles on a daily basis.

The candidate will have at least a high school diploma and may need an Associates degree or higher. TPM experience and PLC/HMI exposure are preferred, with opportunities for growth and a company bonus program.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Grade 12 or High School diploma, or equivalent.
• Preferred: Associates degree, or higher, in an engineering or manufacturing related discipline.
• Two (2) or more years of experience in a food related manufacturing environment with automated processes, including PLC/HMI.

Responsibilities

• Operate all equipment in the assigned work area ensuring quality, safety and performance standards.
• Perform changeovers and period deep cleanings; maintain supplies; complete paperwork; perform cleaning/inspection/lubrication tasks (CIL'S).
• Support Five Principles of Mars and participate in TPM teams.
• Escalate issues following proper protocols and fill HACCP/military sheets correctly.
• Keep manufacturing area clean and organized per 5S standards; assist with TPM improvements.
