Packaging Operator - Starting pay $17.50/hr. (Night shift) ($1000 sign on bonus)

Who we are looking for:

We are currently seeking a Packaging Operator I based in Springfield, Missouri. Reporting to the Manufacturing Shift Lead, this role involves maintaining the quality of extruded (HDPE pipe) products throughout manufacturing and packaging processes.

Schedule: 7:45pm to 8:00am, Rotation Schedule

The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

What you'll do:

1. Monitor and check product quality during manufacturing to meet order requirements.
2. Check print and footage markings; make corrections as needed.
3. Ensure continuous stripe presence if required.
4. Understand and adhere to quality requirements for all products.
5. Make necessary corrections to meet specifications and inform supervisor before adjustments.
6. Use reel components to build reels to specifications.
7. Prepare reels for startup, ensuring they are in good condition.
8. Ensure wraps on reels are correct and neat.
9. Cut conduit, tie-off, and cap conduits upon reel completion.
10. Remove reels using a forklift and store finished products.
11. Manage scrap material by grinding and stacking.
12. Assist extrusion technicians during line start-ups.
13. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
14. Support team members with conduit cutting, tie-offs, and reel changes.
15. Follow all safety protocols and company safety guidelines.
16. Complete accurate line operation paperwork for inventory.
17. Perform other assigned duties.

What you'll bring:

1. High school diploma or GED.
2. 1-2 years of relevant experience.
3. Basic math skills including measurements.
4. Forklift operation ability.
5. Strong organization and time management skills.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Good judgment and ability to work independently.

Within 3 months, you'll:

1. Complete required training.
2. Build relationships with key stakeholders.
