Job summary

Pregis in Reno, NV is seeking an Operator I (Assistant Operator) to operate full converting line and finishing equipment with minimal supervision. You will train others, troubleshoot issues, and maintain quality, safety and efficiency to meet production goals.

This hourly role requires a High School Diploma or GED and 5–7 years of related experience. 12-hour shifts, overtime, and a 2-2-3 schedule provide coverage across day and night teams at our facility.

Qualifications

• Must have strong safety awareness and adherence to SOPs.
• Ability to read and interpret job tickets and production specs.
• Experience operating converting/finishing equipment or similar machinery.

Responsibilities

• Direct press crews for efficient operation of machines.
• Ensure all job components are present before starting work.
• Achieve print quality and proper registration per standards.
• Set up and operate press controls and related equipment.
• Perform minor mechanical repairs and adjustments as needed.
• Maintain accurate job counts and a safe work environment.
