Job summary

Triton Environmental Consultants, Ltd. is seeking a Packaging Operator III to run sacking equipment and manage feeds from supply bins according to Akralos specifications. This 3rd shift role includes a $3/hour shift differential and a schedule from 11:00 p.m.

to 7:00 a.m., Monday through Friday. Responsibilities include operating packaging and delivery equipment, ensuring product quality, following GMP, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting with training as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
• Capable of working in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet environments.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work in a team.
• Good attendance and willingness to perform housekeeping duties.

Responsibilities

• Follow production lineup to package feeds per product specs and quality guidelines.
• Notify Plant Leadership of out-of-spec quality conditions and ensure proper labeling and weights.
• Safely operate required packaging equipment and forklift as needed.
• Complete work orders, paperwork, and tasks on time.
• Provide training to new and existing employees when needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Plant Leadership.

Job Summary

The Packaging Operator III role is responsible for operating all sacking equipment to sack, with proper packaging, feeds from supply bins per Akralos specified feed formulations and packaging rates. This includes but is not limited to the operation of delivery equipment, scales, bag hangers, and scales, sewing heads, various conveyors and other packaging equipment. This is a 3rdshift role with a $3 and hour shift differential. The schedule is 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday, from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Facility Expectation

• Follow the expectations of all Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality standards
• Ensure product quality expectations are met
• Follow all facility Good Manufacturing Practices as required
• Responsible for ensuring area is kept clean and completion of all listed housekeeping duties per the master sanitation schedule
• Work with other Operations colleagues to effectively communicate production issues
• Once qualified, provide mentoring and training to new colleagues
• Required to work overtime as specified by management
• Attend training classes in-plant or at other locations as assigned

Work Duties

• Required to follow the production lineup to package all feeds in accordance with Akralos Product Specifications and established quality guidelines
• Notify Plant Leadership, if any out- of- spec quality conditions exist. This includes checking bag weights, proper clean- out, sequencing, labeling and other quality concerns before, during and after a packaging run. Must have adequate quality training
• Safely and efficiently operate all necessary equipment at all times (i.e. fork truck, etc.)
• Complete assigned work orders, paperwork and tasks in a timely manner
• Provide training as necessary for new and existing employees when needed
• Perform other duties as assigned by Plant Leadership

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent
• Good customer service must be exhibited at all times
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs
• Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling and twisting over surfaces
• Ability to wear protective clothing and equipment such as safety shoes, face masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, a hard hat, and gloves when required
• Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet working conditions
• Ability to work with allergens that might be present in a manufacturing environment
• Self-motivated with a solid work ethic
• Good attitude and works well in team atmosphereHandles other duties as required
