Job summary

The Hillman Group is seeking a packaging associate to prepare products for shipment in a fast-paced environment. You will visually inspect items, weigh and count them, and load them into packaging machines while monitoring performance.

Ensuring quality, you will unload finished packs, apply labels, and box products for distribution. The role requires basic reading and math skills and the ability to work safely in a noisy setting.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions.
  • Ability to perform basic math and measurements.
  • Ability to stand, lift up to 50 lbs., and work in a loud environment.

Essential Job Functions *

  • Visually inspects product for defects and transfers defective items to the appropriate location.
  • Manual weighing and counting of product.
  • Loads product into packaging machines, Monitors machines for proper function.
  • Unloads and visually inspects packaged product to ensure it meets quality standards.
  • Places packaged product into boxes. Applies identification labels to boxes.

Education & Experience

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Packaging - Bagging: Fast-paced up to 8 hrs/day. Exposure to loud noise. Functional vision and hearing required. May participate in HCP.

Physical Demands:

Packaging - Hand: Light, lifting up to 50 lbs.
