Job description

Job Summary

Position: Packaging Operator I.

Schedule: 2nd Shift – Monday to Thursday – 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM (based on business needs and job completions, which may include overtime during the week and on weekends).

Base Rate: $15.25 per hour.

Shift Differential: $1.00 for hours worked on 2nd Shift.

Packaging a variety of products according to customer specifications.

Essential Job Functions
  • Reviews Work Orders to determine packaging requirements.
  • Visually inspects product for defects and transfers defective items to the appropriate location.
  • Manual weighing and counting of product.
  • Loads product into packaging machines and monitors machines for proper function.
  • Unloads and visually inspects packaged product to ensure it meets quality standards.
  • Places packaged product into boxes and applies identification labels.
  • Accurately completes departmental paperwork.

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Work Environment: Packaging – Bagging. Fast‑paced up to 8 hrs/day. Exposure to loud noise. Functional vision and hearing required. May participate in HCP.

Physical Demands: Hand light, lifting up to 50 lb.
