Job summary

ALPLA is seeking a packaging operator in Bridgeton, Missouri. The role involves operating, maintaining and troubleshooting various packaging equipment, loading materials, and performing quality checks to ensure efficient production lines in a clean, safety-conscious environment.

The position emphasizes manual handling, changeovers, and autonomous maintenance, with a focus on safety and adherence to company procedures.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
6 months of manufacturing experience preferred.
Capable of lifting 55 pounds and to stand for a minimum of 12 hours.
Able to work with multiple types of equipment simultaneously.
High cleanliness standards for the machines and work area.

Responsibilities

Operate, maintain and troubleshoot packaging equipment including carton erectors, partition inserters, product inserters, foil dispensers, top closers, and palletization equipment.
Load and build boxes; hand-pack bottles; load labels.
Perform routine cleaning and minor maintenance to ensure smooth operations.
Load/unload packaging materials such as corrugate, containers or other raw materials.
Document records of finished goods and packaging specs; perform changeovers; apply labels; conduct visual quality checks; housekeeping and autonomous maintenance.
