Job summary

ALPLA Group in Iowa City is hiring for a packaging operator to accurately package produced bottles and operate various packaging equipment. You will handle loading, labeling, and quality checks while maintaining clean, safe work areas and adhering to SOPs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Min. 6 months of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Capable of lifting 55 pounds and to stand for a minimum of 12 hours.
• Able to work with multiple types of equipment simultaneously.
• High cleanliness standards for the machines and work area.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot multiple types of packaging equipment.
• Load, build and make boxes; hand-pack bottles; load labels.
• Perform routine cleaning and minor maintenance to ensure smooth operations.
• Load/unload packaging materials such as corrugate and containers.
• Document records of finished goods, packaging specs and quality checks; perform changeovers; apply labels.
