Job summary

Specialized Packaging Group is seeking a Machine Operator to operate complex machinery safely and efficiently in a warehouse environment. You will set up machines, load materials, perform quality checks, and help maintain production records while adhering to safety protocols and training new operators as needed.

The role requires ability to follow instructions, effective communication, and the capacity to manage time across multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand work instructions.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to work scheduled hours with occasional overtime.
• Time management and ability to service multiple areas.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate the assigned machine for production runs, including calibrating and adjusting settings to meet product requirements.
• Load and unload materials into the machine (lumber, corrugated, foam).
• Identify and resolve mechanical/operational issues during production.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines and replace expendable tooling.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure finished products meet print requirements.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.
• Assist in training new operators and provide support as needed.
• Assist with material handling, packaging, and other production tasks.
• Maintain accurate production records (machine settings, production numbers, inventory, issues).
• Report safety, production, quality, or machine issues to supervisor.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Other duties as assigned.
