Job summary

Johnsonville Sausage, LLC is seeking a Packaging Member at the Meadowside facility to manufacture high-quality sausage products on the production line. You will help ensure safety, yields, and efficiency while learning new packaging technologies and participating in daily meetings.

We offer a daytime shift from 5:30am to 2:30pm, with overtime as production demands. Reasonable lifting, GMP compliance, and teamwork are essential as you contribute to Johnsonville's recognized quality and culture.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong math background.
• Must be able to complete production documentation accurately.

• Must maintain GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices).

• Basic computer skills needed.
• Ability to see warning devices and respond.
• Monitor freezer/accumulation systems and adjust as needed.
• Work in temperatures from +40°F to -10°F with provided clothing.
• Able to withstand heights of 20 feet or more.

Position Facility: Meadowside

Position Overview

Pay Range: $26.55/hr - $27.59/hr + $.60/hr upon backup result block completion

Hours: 5:30am - 2:30pm, Monday - Friday (Overtime as production demands)

Responsibilities

• Consistently manufacture "great tasting" sausage products according to specifications
• Work together with other Packaging Members to obtain World Class packaging results in safety, yields, usages, and efficiencies
• Learn and be part of developing and enhancing new technology in the packaging department
• Develop a strong set of world class skills in the area of packaging
• Actively participate in daily Grill meetings and project teams
• Set goals and objectives; both personal and as a team member to acquire "superlative" performance in order to support the Johnsonville Way
• Grow, develop, and stretch yourself by continuing to find new and better ways to meet your commitments to yourself, your team and to JVL.
• Packaging sausage on production line
• Carrying tubs of sausage
• Lifting and moving boxes to pallets and moving pallets
• Inspection of finished product
• Identify products by code and enter the information into the freezer programs
• Ensure the proper operation of the freezer, conveyor systems, palletizing, and de-palletizing systems
• Monitor the status of products in the freezer and be proactive in the prevention of problems. Where prevention is not possible, resolve problems before they escalade.

• Must be able to withstand heights of 20 feet or more above ground

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to pass a pre-employment, post offer drug screen, physical and background check
