Job summary

Mars is seeking an Operator Filling Line to operate packaging equipment, perform line changeovers, and support training for team members. The role demands attention to quality, safety, and adherence to shift schedules in a manufacturing setting.

The position emphasizes proficient operation of filling machinery, accurate recordkeeping, and collaboration with maintenance to ensure line reliability and product quality. Training on the line and safety procedures is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent education.
• 1 year experience in manufacturing.
• Prior experience operating packaging machines.

Responsibilities

• Performs activities and job tasks within a manufacturing line or area
• Operates equipment and changeovers in a safe and efficient manner
• Takes corrective actions in solving problems to root cause level
• Able to assess equipment operating reliability and perform routine repairs, adjustments, and malfunction troubleshooting
• Performs and/or works with Maintenance to complete equipment preventative maintenance (PM)
• Performs quality control (QC) tasks such as metal checks, inspection of date codes, item numbers, dump logs, etc.
• Maintain accurate records of quality check and keeps detailed logbooks
• Any ad hoc tasks
