Job summary

Mars is hiring a Packaging Machine Operator in the United States. The role ensures packaging of finished products aligns with QFS and QMP standards, supporting Mars Quality and Food Safety principles.

New hires may receive a $2,500 sign-on bonus, with starting pay of $22.90 per hour plus a $2 shift premium for 2nd and 3rd shifts. The position requires at least a high school diploma or GED, strong math and communication skills, and familiarity with HMIs and safety systems.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Good math, reading, and writing skills.
• Knowledge of computers and HMIs.
• Ability to work self-directed and maintain safety.
• Experience in manufacturing or packaging is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety practices and Mars standards.
• Operate packaging equipment within efficiency standards.
• Perform quality checks and document results.
• Adjust, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance.
• Support Mars Supply Excellence and Autonomous Maintenance initiatives.
• Follow sanitation and housekeeping requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and plant metrics.
• Comply with food safety and QMP requirements.
• Demonstrate teamwork and Mars Five Principles.
• Operate material handling equipment when qualified.
