Job summary

Sofidel America, a subsidiary of the Sofidel Group, seeks a Packaging Operator to support Converting Production at the Circleville plant. You will operate paper packaging equipment, follow GMP/HACCP, and ensure produced products meet customer specifications.

The role uses a 12-hour day/night schedule with weekend rotation, and requires a high school diploma and ability to read schedules and maintenance docs; training in lift and crane operation may be provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 6–12 months manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to work across departments in a team environment.
• Strong time-management and task-prioritization skills.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, manuals, and quality procedures.
• Basic math and measurement skills; ability to use metrology tools.
• Willingness to learn lift and crane operation.
• Computer literacy with standard software and production equipment.

Responsibilities

• Supports GMP/HACCP to promote a safe workplace and quality products.
• Set-up, operation, adjustment, and change-over of packaging equipment.
• Collaborate with line staff to achieve production rates and uptime.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks and report issues to maintenance staff.
• Document quality control and production issues on reporting forms.
• Read schedules and product specs to ensure quality within tolerances.
• Maintain safe, clean work area; follow housekeeping rules.
• Inspect equipment condition and report problems to supervisor/maintenance.
• Assist other operators and maintenance personnel as needed.
• Perform additional duties to maintain workflow.
