Job summary

PetIQ in Omaha, NE is hiring a warehouse order filler to pick, pack, and ship customer orders. You will retrieve merchandise from bins, palletize products, and ensure orders are complete and accurate while following safety rules.

The role requires basic reading and math, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and daily shift work. Hours are Monday–Friday 6:00am–2:30pm, with a focus on safe, efficient order fulfillment.

  • Pick, pack, and ship customer orders accurately and on time.

  • Palletize product and verify counts on incoming/outgoing product.
  • Operate in accordance with company standards for product handling.

Job description

Responsible for filling customer orders to ensure items are deliver ed to the destination in a manner that meets company standards. Duties include obtaining merchandise from bins or shelves and ensures the completeness and correctness of all orders filled. R esponsible for palletizing product and maintaining product in the proper location within the warehouse. The position will be responsible for knowing and abiding by all safety rules established by PetIQ.

Hours:

Monday-Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm

Essential Functions/Job Duties:
  • Ensure that customer orders are picked, packed, and shipped inan accurateandtimelymanner.
  • Follows all safety guidelines and rules; environmental and regulatory guidelines; uses all required safety equipment.
  • Maintains quality and cleanliness of the work area and equipment.
  • Maintains the highest standards for product quality and service.
  • Picks customer orders from inventory using a pack list on a pack line.
  • Counts cartons or containers in order to crosscheck customer orders andvalidates accuracy.
  • Completes customer orders efficiently and accurately.
  • Complete all other duties as assigned
  • Stacking product on pallets as it is transported to the palletizing area.
  • Verifying counts on all incomingproductto insure proper inventories.
  • Understand stacking patterns.
  • Keepareaclean and wellmaintained.
  • Basic computer and math skills for proper counting of product.
  • Basic understanding of box sizes and standards.
  • Time management throughout the shift to ensure proper flow of product.
  • Know and follow Safety Rules.
Minimal Qualifications:
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,operatingand maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability towriteroutine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using wholenumbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Requires ability to use hands,fingersand arms
  • The position is regularlyrequiredto use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms.
  • The employeeis occasionally required toclimb or balance and stoop, kneel and crouch.
  • Regularly lift and /or move up to25pounds,frequentlylift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to use fifty (50) pounds of force to move objects.
Education Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Physical Requirements:
  • Requires adequate hearing to receive detailed oral information
  • Requires adequate visual acuity to read written documents and view dirt and dust to clean.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Daily lifting of product and boxes ranging from 1 pound to 50 pounds from table level to floor and above the head.
  • Arrange and adjustproductand supplies on outbound and inbound pallets.
  • Regularly required to stand; use hands and fingers, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
  • Must be able to continually bend and stoop for approximately 8 hours per day, depending upon shift length.
  • When it is necessary to work on the machine platform,musthave the ability to maneuver and move within an area of approximately 18 inches.
  • Must be able to use small hand tools ifnecessaryto perform minor maintenance or adjustments.
  • Must be able to work in an environment where the temperature range is from 80 to 100 degrees F in the summer and 35 - 65 degrees F in the winter
