Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an organized, clean work area.
  • Help the line lead with setup and running each specific line.
  • Follow sanitation and safety SOPs.
  • Know MSDS and SOP book locations.
  • Know Product QA requirements for the area.
  • Follow company policies and handbook guidelines.
  • Access computer tracking and training information.
  • Attend daily training classes.
  • Capable of performing at least 50% of line leader duties.
  • Maintain productivity and quality standards.
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers to support teamwork.
  • Seek ways to improve productivity.
  • Responsible for food safety.
  • Work safely according to safety standards.
  • Catch/bag the food, seal bags, quality check bags, package, seal box, palletize, label pallet, and deliver to wrapping station.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Packaging Line Operator is responsible for packaging production including boxing, labeling, and packaging of products.All other tasks as needed. This is a high paced job.

Essential Functions/Job Duties
  • Maintain an organized, clean work area
  • Help the line lead preparing set up and running each specific line
  • Knows all applicable Sanitation and Safety SOPs
  • Knows MSDS and SOP book locations
  • Knows Product QA requirements for the area
  • Knows general company policies and handbook policies
  • Knows how to access computer tracking information, training information,
  • Attends daily training classes
  • Capable of performing at least 50% or more of the line leader responsibilities
  • Maintain a positive attitude, know company policies and be willing to follow them
  • Keeps production errors to a minimum and meet company standards
  • Maintains a productivity standard that meets company standards
  • Maintains excellent communication and relationships with other employees to foster team effort
  • Seeks out new ways to improve productivity
  • Responsible for food safety
  • Work safely by following all safety standard and procedures
  • Catch/bag the food, seal the bags, quality check the bags put in the packaging box, seal the box, put on a pallet, label pallet, and deliver to the wrapping station
  • Additional duties may be assigned and/or required

Education Requirements

  • Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 55 pounds regularly
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
