Job summary

On-Board Services in Assonet, MA is hiring a Packaging Operator for the 2nd shift (3pm - 11:30pm) at our Assonet facility. This full-time/contract position offers $19.00 per hour and a benefits package including 401K, dental, life, medical, and vision insurance.

You will perform packaging operations, operate dryers and blending equipment, move materials with pallet jacks and a forklift, and prepare batch and packaging records while following safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• HSD/GED required.
• Mechanical and computer aptitude.
• Lifting 30–50 lbs.
• Minimum 1 year forklift experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform packaging operations of small containers to tote quantities of finished products.
• Operate dryers and blending equipment.

The Role and Responsibilities

Packaging Operators at the facility play an important role in the success of the organization. These are very visible and impactful positions.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Perform package operations of small containers to tote quantities of finished products.
• Operate dryers and blending equipment.
• Performs material movement operations using pallet jacks and fork truck.
• Completion of batch packets and packaging packets for finished goods.
• Observe and adhere to all safety guidelines, SOP's, and best practices.
• Assists the team or work group in identifying improvement opportunities in area of Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) and implements improved EH&S practices and procedures
